Question 1

What is a CPS test?

Accepted Answer

CPS stands for clicks per second. A CPS test counts how many times you click in a fixed time, such as 5 or 10 seconds, and divides by the time to give your click speed.

Question 2

What is a good CPS score?

Accepted Answer

Most people click 5 to 7 times per second with a normal click. 8 to 10 is fast, and above that usually needs jitter or butterfly clicking. Scores over 14 are rare and are often helped by the mouse hardware.

Question 3

How do I use this click speed test?

Accepted Answer

Pick a duration from 1 to 60 seconds, then click the box. The timer starts on your first click and stops by itself. You then see your CPS, rating and personal best for that duration.

Question 4

How do I click faster?

Accepted Answer

Use a light, relaxed grip and a mouse with a low click force, keep your wrist steady, and try techniques such as jitter clicking (tensing your arm so it vibrates) or butterfly clicking (alternating two fingers). Rest if your hand gets sore.

Question 5

Is jitter or butterfly clicking safe?

Accepted Answer

Short sessions are generally fine, but repeated tension can strain your hand and wrist. Take breaks, stop if anything hurts, and do not use it for long stretches. Some online games also ban auto-clicker style input, so check the rules.

Question 6

Why do I get different scores for different durations?

Accepted Answer

Short tests reward a quick burst, while longer ones show your stamina. Most people score a higher CPS in 1 or 2 seconds than over 30 or 60, so compare the same duration.

Question 7

Does the test work on a phone or trackpad?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Tap the box with a finger or use a trackpad. Scores differ by device, and touchscreens often differ from a mouse, so compare on the same device.

Question 8

Is my score saved or shared?

Accepted Answer

Your personal best for each duration is remembered only in your own browser. Nothing is sent to a server and no account is needed.

Under 4 CPS	Beginner
4 to 6 CPS	Average
6 to 8 CPS	Good
8 to 10 CPS	Fast
